Assistant Curator - Museum of Contemporary Art Cleveland, OH

Curate and assist with the production of all exhibitions. Develop and curate exhibitions. Coordinate department interns and assistants. Help lead Exhibitions Department activities including shipping, artwork coordination, research, exhibition and program design and exhibition curating. Write didactic and interpretive text for publications, wall text, labels, website and internal documents. Attend and assist with cultivation initiatives and patron events and programs. Manage relationships and communications with key regional and national cultural stakeholders, funders, foundations, artists, and gallerists. 

2013 - 2016       
Curatorial Assistant of Contemporary Art - Museum of Art, Rhode Island School of Design, Providence, RI

Work with Dominic Molon, the Richard Brown Baker Curator of Contemporary Art with all necessary logistical and administrative needs. Responsible for curating exhibitions in the Spalter New Media Gallery and for assisting with large traveling solo and group exhibitions. Focus on collections and object management including object and exhibition files. Manage graduate assistants, interns, and fellows in the department. Responsible for the care and organization of the Film, Video, and New Media Collection and assisting with the entire Contemporary Art Collection. Curate group and solo exhibitions as opportunities are available. 

2013 - 2017      
Independent Curator - Co-curator + Deputy Director - Monument Lab: Creative Speculations for Philadelphia, Philadelphia, PA
Penn Institute for Urban Research (Partner Institution 2015)
City of Philadelphia Mural Arts Program (Partner Institution 2017)

Co-curated (with Ken Lum and Paul Farber) a large-scale public art project in Philadelphia City Hall’s Central Courtyard from May 15-June 7, 2015. Wrote, edited and designed exhibition catalog and all branding, marketing and web text. Managed scheduling and project management for a team of twelve people. Wrote and edited Grant Applications and Materials. Created professional relationships and in-kind support and partnerships with: The Philadelphia Mural Arts Program, RAIR (Recycled Artists in Residency), Penn Design, The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, Haverford College, Next City, Philadelphia Center for Architecture, the Office of Arts, Culture and the Creative Economy. Managed a $72,000 grant budget. Project managed installation of temporary public artwork by Terry Adkins. Worked with Zoe Strauss, Alexander Rosenberg, Kara Crombie and Kaitlin Pomerantz to create proposals for public art projects. 

2012 - 2013       
Curatorial Fellow - KADIST & Wattis Institute for Contemporary Arts, San Francisco, CA

Awarded eight-month fellowship working at both the Kadist Art Foundation and Wattis Institute for Contemporary Arts. Worked closely with curator Joseph del Pesco of Kadist as well as with staff at both institutions in a curatorial support role. Worked on public programming, collections cataloging, exhibitions planning, and facilitating student curated exhibitions. Conducted video interviews of artists in the Kadist collections. Fellowship culminated in the curating of an exhibition at the Wattis Institute for Contemporary Arts from the Kadist Foundation’s San Francisco and Paris-based collections. 

2011 - 2012       
Co-Director & Curator - Triple Base Gallery, San Francisco, CA

Co-directed Triple Base Gallery, an independent exhibitions space showing contemporary art working with Founding Director, Dina Pugh. Managed the gallery, including press, collector and client relations, sales, artist installations, and all logistics, including website management. Worked with artists Todd Bura, Rachel Kaye, and Bryson Gill to execute solo exhibitions of their work.  

2011
Curatorial Intern - Aspen Art Museum, Aspen, CO

Assisted Chief Curator and Director Heidi Zuckerman and Associate Curator Matthew Thompson with all aspects of exhibition planning. Duties included artist and artwork research, coordinating logistics, and drafting written materials. Managed and organized public programming events at an off-site location.
